tony hawk 4

instead of anything i’d promised myself
to get over and done with
in the garden or the kitchen
or my career or romantic life
made some kind of monster
in tony hawk’s pro skater 4

i want to love him but it’s difficult
the limbs of a tapeworm victim
the gawk of a traitor’s mother
all the charisma of a takeout salad
dressed still for last week’s interview
over webcam, for the ad agency
an abominable attempt
to create myself
